Artist Statement 

​

"My practice finds influence in movement and its relationship to the environment. As my work evolves, it centres around tracking movement, which acts as a bridge between myself and the environment around me. The very act of walking in nature tends to invite one into exploring the innermost workings of 'self.' Working in Forestry for the past 11 years, I have gained relationships with the natural environment, forming a basis for my work. Moving through the natural landscape and working with different people has led me to focus on notions of integration and the enfolding we experience in our environment. These notions are where I look to create a visual language."
