ARTFUL YEARS WORKSHOPS
The Smithers Art Gallery is pleased to announce that we have received funding under the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program for our project Artful Years: Visual Arts for Seniors by Seniors
This federal grants and contributions program supports projects that are led or inspired by seniors who are making a difference in the lives of others in their communities.
The funds will be used to provide arts and craft workshops taught by seniors for seniors 55 and over. Thank you to the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program for the funding support provided to the Smithers Art Gallery. It will make a significant difference in the lives of seniors in our community.

In the coming months starting in September 2026 we will be offering 6 different workshops, each on will be 2 hrs, once a week for 4 weeks. All of these workshops are free of charge for anyone 55 and over. You must register for each workshop, you can register for as many as you like. More details to follow.
